On July 13, the Dallas Mavericks' No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg faced the San Antonio Spurs' No. 2 pick Dylan Harper. In the end, the Spurs defeated the Mavericks 76-69 with a more balanced team performance.

In the first quarter, Flagg continued his sluggish performance, missing his first three shots and scoring only three points. At the end of the first half, Flagg scored 15 points, surpassing the entire score of the previous game and completing a strong rebound.
